JUST BECAUSE...

We all had a BLAST!

This is my oldest and her best little friend. They had an "early out" day last week so as soon as Cliff got home for lunch, I handed him J and The three of us headed out the door for a photo adventure. I had convinced myself that there were no "cool" spots in my rinky-dink town to take pictures. I was sure that if I ever wanted anything different I would have to drive an hour east or west to find something. But LOOK! I proved my self wrong! (and for all my home-town viewers, can you guess where we are?)

Little Nut!

Whenever I try to get a picture of him, he gets as close as he possibly can to the lens and cheeses it for me. I almost never get a focus pic or one without distortion. He likes to try to find me through the lens. Who teaches them these things?

The weather has been cooperating...

...but I know that it won't last so I try to get out there once a day with my camera to play. Unfortunately not all my kids are cooperating as well as the weather.

Okay - so this Reflection pic of H and J is nowhere near perfect. I blew out the highlights and when I zoom in I've got a bit of some focus problems. And the ones I took with B, well, Lets just say that she mighta ruined them a bit. BUT... I CAN NOT WAIT to try this again!!! I'm just loving the results - imperfect or not. You've gotta try this one. Way too fun!

I'm lovin' this bit of warmer weather that we're getting. I'm just hopin that it will stick around... :)

And it's not even Christmas! This may be all that we get for a long time though. But hey, it is all 5 us! I truly wish that somehow I could get a decent pict of all of us together, but for now... this will have to do and I'm Just LOVIN' IT!

My PROTEGES!

I was walking downstairs to put my camera away and turned around to see this. Ofcourse I had to snap a few. But then when I saw them come up on my computer I started laughing. Jack is totally directing Bella. They've got the whole system down and I hardly ever use that white foamboard. Apparently, They've figured out what to do with it.

Does this mean I spend too much time taking pictures?

A touch of Color for you....

As you may have noticed I'm a huge Black and White fan! I love em, I'm addicted...can't get enough..YOu get the picture right? Well, I'm really trying to fall in love with color so I've been playing with some different processing techniques. I mighta gone overboard with the saturation here, but I really love trying new things out and having fun in PS.
(although the swingset wood really is pretty orange...wierd huh)
Anyway.. what d'ya think? Will I ever be a color girl?

We went on an Adventure...

...around our tiny little town to see what kind of new spots we could find.
The ligh was not ideal and we only had about 20 minutes before we had to be back home, but I think we found some fun spots to try on a better day. And... Bella earned herself a few jellybeans....
